Has to feel a little strange to be looking forward to a vertigo attack. Thanks Gene!

I've been away for a few weeks and am just now catching up.

Was thinking of you on Dec. 2nd as I knew that was THE day. Am glad in one way that you haven't had an attack, but sorry also since you can't test the device! As others have said it's really strange to be wanting someone to have an attack! However, knowing Meniere's it will come when it wants to.

Good luck Gene!! You are still our hero!!! ;) ;D

The Meniere's gods are beyond evil. You spend your life praying that you won't have a vertigo episode, and you have attack after attack. Then when someone finally actually wants one, they say, "no way." Grrrrrr... Maybe that's the secret cure, you've gotta want one, and then it's no fun for the Meniere's gods anymore and they leave you alone.

    Gene,

This is irony defined isn't it? The insertion of the device being tested to stop vertigo seems to have stopped vertigo for now so the device can't be tested yet.

All the best to you Gene, thanks for doing this and keeping us posted.

I have plenty going around. I just need to figure out how to send them. I called Fed-Ex and they told me they are considered a bio-hazard so thats a no go.

    Hello folks,

It's been awhile since my last post. Again, I received the external electronics that go with the implant on 12/2 and as of today, I have yet to suffer from a vertigo attack. This is not related to my implant, but just a quiet phase. It has been rare that I have gone this long without an attack and, frankly, I can't complain about it. However, I does not move the science along.

I will post again, once something happens to post about.

I will be ok waiting for science so you can feel well for awhile.. i think we are all deserving of a quiet phase every now and again!
