What is it that I will try to hold onto on my deathbed? I know my body will fight for all its worth to survive, because that's what the body does instinctively. But what of my mind? Will it be able to applaud the ride? Will it feel right that my going leaves space for another? Or will it only value more time? Naturally I don't know right now, but I'd like to think that it's not all about wanting more, otherwise enough will never be enough.

...and there are some unknowns that I am so comfortable with, death being one of them. MY death, to be sure. For it is in the very act of living that we also die. How maginificent the power of life's energy, the ebb and flow? Tides. Moons. Ages. Eons. Today. Yesterday's mistakes. Today's intentions. Please, just let all of my cells celebrate and radiate their comings and their goings.

    DEATHBED

Death has been defeated, for me. The grave will not have hold of me.

    When I pass, I'll be home :)

A sweet release of all life's sorrows,
    Waiting for the next go-round,
Perhaps the confirmation of this life's silenced optimisms?

Comfort .... No one can really comfort anyone unless there has been a measure of the same kind of affliction or some kind of suffering which has brought about an understanding and in which we have ourselves experienced

    Comfort

I have many pairs of shoes
Some of which have definitely paid their dues
This is a true test of comfort
A pair that you're not willing to abort
Comfort comes not from same experiences
As in marriage, success can come from differences
Comfort comes from something or someone
Where mutual respect brings them together as one

If my life is comfortable; dare I seek to change?

Change......I think I'm going through the change. Why do they call it the change? I won't change. Will I? My ovaries simply stop producing eggs. And hormones. But I am still me, am I not? All the books about the change. An Empowered woman? Taking control after menopause. The new you. It took me years to release my power, relinquish control, and find me. That's all.
