    Hi Rae Nell - Lets hope and pray it will be okay - I have same thing and generally the next test usually prooves is to be a water cyst or nothing to worry about. Hope that is how it is for you too.
    It is scarey when they tell you your test isn't normal.
    Take care - you are in my thoughts.

    Oh RaeNell, Over the weekend too, scary, and frustrating when you can't even call and get the next tests set up.
    You are in my thoughts and prayers, hope you get a good person when you call on Monday, and get things set up quickly. Take care.....

    Oh Rae Nell honey......Thoughts and prayers are with you my dear. I'm sure it's a cyst like everyone's been saying. I had one a few years back and had a needle biospy. HUGS to you. It really sucks how they told you. I know you will get right on that phone Monday 1st thing and get more answers. Smooches to you too!! :-* :-*

    Don't have a lot of time now to re write what I lost yesterday. I have to go to sears this am to fill out paperwork cause I'm working in the Lands End Dept for the holiday season!!! Oh boy, what have I got myself into? I neen the cash, that's why!! Home heating oil prices!! Yikes!!

    Steve sold his truck and bought another car. It's a really really nice car and I wanted him to have a car like this instead of the ones he was looking at with rust and problems. Although the state police officer who pulled him over the other day said it was to fast of a car for him, joking around with me!! That's another story!! This car is clean, no problems. So I offered to help him out with the extra 500.00 he needed. But dummy me forgot about the sales tax!! URGH. I proberbly would have thought twice about giving him the $$. And he and hubby just bought a snowmobile trailer!! money is just flying out the windows here! LOL

    Anyhoo...have a great sunday everyone.

    The truth is, we don't have to do "great things" to make a difference, only small things. By taking small steps and actions, our lives can become insturments of love and compassion.

    Very true!

    Rae Nell It looks like you have a collection of prayers and good thoughts right here. Hang in there.

    Jill You have left us with a mystery about why Steve was stopped by a cop. Hopefully nothing serious.

    Sue Where are you?? Are you well? Are you okay? We are missing you again. Wanted to let youknow we are thinking of you.

    `````````
    We took a ladder over to our oldest daughters home so she could cap her chimney So there was I on the ground holding the ladder while hubby and daughter were on her roof.
    We have lots of frost on the ground in the AM with little warming and high 50 low 60's. Thankfully, no wind the last couple of days. Still cold.
    Looks like people are enjoying the weekend - it has been quiet here. :D :D
    Hi everyone,
    I promise to write soon, but the problem is that I hardly can sit anymore because of trouble in the tailbone area. I take cushions and special ones with openings in it always with me - still it hurts and I becomes restless and start walking the room up and down. I will see a orthopedic surgeon on the 14th of November - actually for my back trouble as that has lasted much too long and for years no specialist ever looked at it anymore so my own doctor thought it necessary for me to see one. But that painful area is expanding - for years I never had trouble there - surgery was done in 1973 !!!!!! Then the broken and crooked tailbones were removed.
    I feel guilty that I never wrote anymore, but I give my attention now first to my family and granddaughter in New Zealand. She writes to me - that great Art of being able to write is being used by her very often. She is 5 years old (age when they go to school in New Zealand) and reads all sorts of books already. Again a smart one in my family! Nice to have, but I love my Owen just as much who cannot write and read and is a bit older than Femke. He can do other things, such a climbing on really everything. It is hard to stand by and not to warn him: be careful!!!!!
    I will write as soon as I feel better in sitting. Nwo I have to give up, it has been too long already - wrote some in the Front Porch.
    Love to all and I am so happy that people still remember me and think of me.
    hi Marian... forget you??? Not a chance! ;D Your presence here at the fence, and all over the forum is wonderful! You have such a strong sense of compassion for everyone here, as well as a great talent for story telling!!! Take care of yourself, hope you are up to sitting, and writing more very soon.
    Joyce, you still have daughters nearby? Sorry, I thought your daughter had moved far away, and didn't realize you still have one close by, I have three daughters, and understand how people get them confused, so am very sorry I missed that part! Sounds like your husbands weekend before surg is going along quite well... hope you are doing well too!
    HI to everyone else here at the fence, it is later Sunday afternoon, and Rae Nell heres hoping you get some appt and tests sched right away tomorrow, waiting is truly the hardest part.
    we are still waiting for our new grand daughter to decide what day her birthday will be, I think my daughter doesn't believe it will ever happen, she is huge, and carrying the babe quite low difficult days for her.
    I splurged and bought a new sewing machine today, a professional model Singer, basic, and no frills, but that is exactly what I have been looking for, youngest daughter is busy sewing a gypsy costume for halloween, and hoping her sister won't have the baby halloween night!!
    Hope all of you are having a wonderful day :D
    thanks for asking. I'm still here. It's the business end of semester, so I'm pretty busy. Got a couple of weeks of study to catch up on, and then a whole heap of revision. But I'm getting there.
    Going away this weekend for my annual quilting retreat. Not ideal timing, but if I work as hard as I plan this week I'll probably need a weekend away to recuperate.
    Still getting over my flu. I lose my voice at the most inoportune times. Like when I'm yelling at The Girl. But I feel 100% of what I did a week ago.
    Finished another quilt on the weekend while listening to lectures. This one I started waaay back in 1998 - for a friend's 30th. She's coming for a holiday today, so thought I'd get it finished for her. :)
    Rae Nell, posted a message elsewhere in the front porch but sending positive thoughts along for tomorrow.
    Marian, was wondering how you were doing. I don't think anyone realizes how every muscle is connected to the butt until you injure it, then even laughing hurts. Don't sit on any super soft cushions.
    Just got back this afternoon from a weekend visiting my oldest daughter. We brought an end table for her that used to be my folks; the Singer sewing treadle stand plus a lamp made from the machine itself. It was a gorgeous sunny weekend, so in between hikes we did some fixing and organizing in her apartment. Also took her out for a couple of meals. By the time we left she was happy to have had such a pleasant weekend - sun, exercise, good food, visitors, and a clean apartment.
    The towns around here had Halloween trick or treating this afternoon from 4-6. They want the kids to be out during daylight hours and have the parents home from work. So the last few years they've put the designated night on a weekend.
    Have got lots to catch up on. Everybody - be good, and if you can't be good at least have some fun. :D
    Hi ya'll! I actually worked today! ;D Not for $$ but helping Hubbie with work. Ok, it only was 2 hours but I really felt like I was accomplishing something! Such a great feeling! Even went to early supper at some friends house and had a great meal. I'd say today was a pretty good day. :eek:
    Small steps baby, small steps! Don't know if it will make me an instrument of love and compassion, but I do know the small ones can definately mean a lot.
    Marian family should always come 1st and your cyber family doesn't mind being 2nd ;D ;) You are always in our thoughts and hearts and we enjoy hearing from and about you and yours:-*. I hope the Ortho you are going to can check out your whole spine and give you some relief option.
    Sue that nasty flu bug should leave you alone! I know it is hard to get over. Have you ever tried concentrated pineapple juice for your throat? It has some good enzymes in it. Glad you"re feeling better! :)
    jrw your weekend sound fun! Hiking with your daughter must have been great! I love to hike but haven't done much of that in the past several years :'(.
    Linda don't worry - baseball will be back before you know it! :D
    Hope you are feeling better Maggie! :-*
    Hi Deercharmer, Wendy, Di, Tizzy, jill, Sami (healthy wishes!), Bergie, Pluto, Amanda, and everyone else I can't remember and all who visit! Have a great week! :D
    Every day we are given hundreds of opportunities to practice compassion in action. We can learn to be less reactive and live with more patience. We can smile when others are serious. We can drive our cars more carefully, pick up litter on the streets, recycle, and reduce our consumption.
    Halloween
    If you can admit that a concern or hassle isn't going to matter even a little bit a year from now, it's often easier to see that it probably doesn't matter much today.
    ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
    I needed to get two days of posting out of the way since we will be at the hospital tomorrow before the time I even get out of bed. That will be some trick, since it takes me a while to get moving in the morning. I am sure most of Tuesday will be spent at the hospital and it will be after noon before hubby is out of recovery.
    He borrowed a walker last night to take with him. So far that is all he really needed to do. A disabled hanger for the car so we can find a handicap parking on days after has already arrived. I think we are ready except the last minute things we have on our list fo today.

    Surgery is always big stuff to concern yourself over and when it comes to your health, it will matter a year from today. I am not a person who loves to drive and hubby does not make a good passenger, so this will be a trial in more ways than one for both of us. I think we are prepared. ???

    Marian I am so glad youchecked in and I totally understand your priority to write your family first. You will still be in our hearts and thoughts here. I am glad you will be seeing an orthpoedist soon. Please el;iminate guilt for not posting. Once in a while to keep in touch will be enough.

    Wendy We have three daughters and one son. The youngest daughter moved. The oldest and middle daughter still in town and son in next town over. All the oldest daughter's kids are grown up and she has three grandchildren. By the middle of November her daughter and sil and two children will be back in this area, which will be nice except for the fact that her sil will be discharged from the AF with full disability as he has something wrong with his lungs and they keep collapsing. They did surgery and it didn't help, but made things worse. He needs constant medical attention. It is really sad because he hoped to make a career of the AF and now can't. Our granddaughter should be able to find work as a dental assistant. Their children are all under 4 years old.

    How exciting when you get a new toy. I bought my sewing machine last year - a Janome and I love it. It is a real work horse. I know you will have fun with yours.

    Sue I am so glad you checked in too. I was getting worried and wanted you to know you were being thought of. Sounds like you are having a tough time getting rid of the aftermath of flu. That reminds me I need my shot.
    I can't imagine a quilting retreat - that actually does sound like fun and you will have to tell us more about it.

    jrw I just love the time I get to spend with my grown kids. They are such good people and it is fun to do things with them unrelated to being a "mommy" role. :D It sounds like you both had fun trekking about and arranging things.

    I can't imagine turning my old Singer (treddle) into a lamp. Ours is more of an extra end table of sorts. It sits in the bedroom with a TV on top and some collected stuff that belongs to hubby.

    Carol I enjoy working in the yard with my hubby sometimes. We enjoy cooking together too, but really need a bigger area for both of us.. I am glad you had a good day with hubby. You sound so upbeat - like there is a joyous lift in your step. That is great.

    Rae Nell You are in my thoughts today. Please keep us posted.
    hi to Samicakes, Dixie, Linda and all others here. I have a few loose ends to tie up today. Tomorrow hubby gets his new knee.

    See you all later. Have a wonderful day. :D :D :D

    Hi just checking in. I am doing fine as fine as I can in this weather. With all the fog and all this other stuff. I am in a fog all the time this time of the year. I went to the doctor on friday and he needs me to come in this morning for a fasting blood test. He wants to check my blood sugar and thyroid. And then he is going to referr me to a knee doctor for my knees. We will see if I have to have knee surgery. I would like to have them just replace my knee. But they have been saying that I am too young for that. How old do you have to be for them to replace body parts??? He if it gives me 15 years of pain free I am all for it.
    Well hugs to every one here.

    I will sit with my fingers crossed as often as I can on Wednesday!!!! I hope and feel that alll will be fine. I wrote to you in the other post on the Front Porch. And my reasoning - if that also applies to US hospitals - is that if something was really wrong to what they could see, they would have admitted you immediately to hospital instead of waiting till Wednesday !!! We get sometimes several humps and bumps in our boobs - anyway I get them - and when you are heavy it is hard to feel for yourself.

    But I feel with you that it sound scary to have to come back, that is never a nice idea. I still have to go back to the dermatologist as some spots still do not look as they should, despite the treatment it got in May/June. I delay it too much but should make an appointment soon. That department is about the only one where there is hardly a waiting list, so why waiting? But we are all afraid of that horrible word. So with so many people praying and thinking of you, it CAN't go wrong.

    Dizzjo I am behind in reading all posts and see now that you have to go to hospital with your husband? What is wrong with him or is it your self? I am mixed up a bit and feel guilty that I had not seen it all before and not kept up with all your news.

    Love to you all and stay healthy. So important !!!!!

    Good morning to all at the fence, hope this is a great day for all of you, beautiful here, but snowing a bit farther north, brrr!
    Glad to see you posted again Marian, hope your back is better every day.
    Rae Nell hope Wed comes soon for you, and you get great news and speedy results from your tests.
    Joyce, I wished I lived closer, and could be your driver for a few weeks, my wish for you personally is:
    no traffic, no ice or snow, and only the best driving experiences!
    (your husband already has many well wishers, I always worry about the care givers too! ;D)
    We are still waiting for a baby, she saw the doc this am, and is very close, he will induce on Wed, if she hasn't begun labor by then.
    Hope you all have a wonderful spin free day!

    Happy Monday (or how 'bout just day!).

    Joyce I am trying to be upbeat - it always helps when you are having some good days! I'm still getting dizzies but not as bad. I'm trying to be like Nursemom (Dianna) and find myself again. Most know what I'm talking about. Still haven't heard how she's doing it!!!! You know it just gets tiring feeling bad.

    I'm sure your Hubby will do fine with the knee replacement. My 69 yr.old neighbor had 1 knee done about 6 - 8 months ago and is coming home today from the other knee being replaced. He had no problem with the surgery and was walking around so quick and easily that they didn't have him go stay at the rehab place. Sounds like this one is the same - surg on Tues. last week - home today.

    May your Hubby have the same experience! ;D

    I miss driving. Always thought I liked someone else driving but sure is different when you can't. I don't even like to ride that much anymore. :'( Use to love to go for Sun afternoon drives and see where you end up. I end up now feeling nauseated :p. I just have to believe that this phase of MM will move on soon!

    Wendy I sure hope you end up in the hospital soon. :eek: You know of course I'm talking about your grandbaby. ;) An almost Halloween baby! Could be!!! ;D She and baby are in my thoughts and prayers!

    Rae Nell I posted on your thread but have positive thoughts that this will be something simple and easy. We are with you luv! :-* Oh and can you file with your insurance? Couldn't hurt. If they reject it you are not any worse off than before - just a little poorer.

    Jill I'm still trying to figure out how FreshFaith got in the top position in the football league this week??? LOL

    Well soon I will go to "work" helping hubbie like yesterday. Feels so good to accomplish something besides cleaning the kitchen or doing laundry!

    Love to all!
