A Day Remembered (September 11, 2001) The sun rises and the day begins with people all around Doing the things that they do every day Except in some, great evil is found And on that Tuesday evil had its way Into the buildings the planes would fly As most people started their day Dear God, so many people would die Because great evil would have its say We know on that Tuesday it came to be It was not a dream that would go away The everlasting horrors that we would see Are with us now and the memories will stay They rescued as many as they could that day And they search still hoping to find That just by chance God changed His mind And left some of His children behind God makes no mistakes whatever His plan might be Though we may never understand or know why He knows our pain and our sorrow He can see As He wipes the tears from our eyes.
