I had my allergy testing today. Turns out I am allergic to alot of things. Different weeds, different trees, cattle, horses, feathers, dogs, cats, dust, dust mites, my kids...no just kidding on that one. More than I can name. We have two dogs in the house. And dust....well, how do you get rid of dust? He done a ct scan while I was there and turns out I have a really bad sinus infection also. He thinks that is probably a big reason why my hearing has been so bad for the last couple of weeks. Who knows. He gave me Nasonex, prednisone and an antibiotic. I have to go back in ten days to get the results of the blood work to find out if I am allergic to any foods or molds and then he will set me up on some allergy medication. He also wants me to have an MRI as it has been 10 years since I've had one, and if this word discrimination thing doesn't clear up, go to a Menieres specialist in St. Louis. The one that diagnosed me with menieres 12 years ago and insisted that I have the labyrinthectomy, which I opted not to get. I went back to him again 3 years ago and he still wanted me to have the labyrinthectomy. That is when I went to Shea Clinic in Memphis only to find out that I had went bilateral. The doc in St. Louis didn't even check for that on my last visit. Needless to say I am not sure that I want to go back to him. It is such a vicious circle.

Oh well, just thought I'd let you all know.

I hope the allergy route works for you. BTW, my new US neurotologist actually prescribed me Serc...I hope this works for me!
