Ideas for a Birthday party

    Sons birthday party is on saturday and was wondering if anyone had some low sodium cook out ideas?

    Shishkbob - just put the food on the stick and grill, put a salt shaker on the table for those who want it. Same for any meat except hot dogs. If you buy chicken, check the nutrition label to make sure sodium is not added. Walmart chicken has sodium added, some at our supermarket do not. Have to turn the package over and read to be sure. Watch the bbq sauce, that is a killer sodium-wise unless you make your own. I did for a while. Google for recipes and omit the salt.

    Hamburgers don't need any salt. Potato salad with no added salt, just what's in the mayo. Fruit salad. Corn on the cob. Jello, maybe even with fruit in it.
