one of my closest friends said she only grew in spirit through suffering--in fact, she says she believes this to be true of all...sounds like you understand this notion...
It's a real b__tch to go thru, these chronic illnesses, but the lessons learned about yourself are priceless. Just think of all the poor healthy folks who are clueless!!
