    You
    You who do good
    You who steal and take
You who are blessed and kind
    You who cheat and harm
You who are honest and forthright
    You who lie and connive
    You know who you are

    You spread rumors and coerce
    You smile at strangers
    You beat and molest
You are generous with your time
    You snicker, you chide
    You are gracious
    You know who you are

You who gain at others expense
    You who share your prosperity
    You who scream and shout
    You who cry for justice
    You who hate
    You know who you are

    Who am I
    Who are you
    We know who we are
    We

    YES!
I wonder what you were doing this time when these pure words arrived. You can't contrive this kind of poetry.

I was reading a novel with a typical contrived ending. The good guys won, but I thought to myself this is not always the case and then the words popped out.

So many faces of human nature, and what is frightening at times is when an undesirable trait comes up from what seems like out of nowhere and casts a shadow over who we thought we were. Hopefully one is able to fight it back and not allow it to take center stage. A very insightful poem gf.
