In another thread a couple of you mentioned that's why you take Xanax. Does it help? I don't know why I've missed reading about trying Xanax for tinnitus especially....

i have not been taking it regularly, but it did seem to calm all my symptoms (tinnitus, fullness and lightheadedness) when i took it recently.

    Hi Laura,

When I began the Acyclovir regime some years ago now, Acyclovir helped with all my symptoms except tinnitus and ear fullness. My ENT suggested I try Xanax as it has helped many, (not all) for me it does turn down the volume (ringing) and seems to help with the ear pressure.

I also take Xanax for relief of tinnitus. It also helps with the anxiety that so often accompanies MM. I've taken it for 27 years--makes the stress of everyday life so much easier to bear---
