wow - I never knew!

    I am a professional jazz guitarist, vocalist and composer. I just found out (originally from a magazine article, then from further googling) that Jimmy Raney, a seminal jazz guitarist of the 50's and 60's was an MM sufferer! I knew Raney's recordings, especially his work with Stan Getz, but was floored to learn he had Meniere's. Here are a couple of links that mention his affliction and to all jazz fans I highly recommend, get a Jimmy Raney recording!

    Thanks, George. I love to read success stories about people with Meniere's. Talk about motivation...!!!

    gtrvox, thanx for the link. I agree with you that it's important for us musicians to have inspiration such as this. Helps tremendously in keeping us from getting down.
