    I find something a little disquieting about this thread. I don't think this information in this form gives us any useful medical data. The internet is the only place a person can go and be taken pretty much at face value without the add on prejudices of ethnicity, gender, age and so forth. We have to judge people on how they present themselves to the world not on our own preconceived ideas. We have done surveys before of age etc to get statistical ideas but I don't remember a thread like this. I think I will delete my info and just make those who don't know, guess. A more fun question would be what do you think I look like?

    Ethnic Background: Italian, French Canadian
    Locale: Midwest, Chicago
    Duration of Menieres: 60 years
    Severe Hearing Loss Both Ears
    Severe-Bilateral Menieres
    Total Loss of Balance Functions. Must usewalker to remain upright
    Severe Osteoarthrits; Type II Diabetic; Fibromyalgia; Deal with Chronic Pain
    Despite these issues, lived almost normal life with great career and active social life

    Acadian French, Penobscot, Highland Scots, Eastern Cherokee, Yamesse, weeee bit of German that married into the Highland Scots and a tiny bit of English in the 1600's for good measure. So basically I am a Heinz 57. ;D
    Mom is from MA but the rest of the family line is from Nova Scotia and Dad is from the Greenmountain area of NC.
    Bilaterial MM
    Totally deaf low to mid tones in my right ear.. still have high pitched hearing but it sounds like Darth Vader on Helium
    tested twice in two different states by specialists
    Been living with it for 28 years
    But I have a feeling some of the problems I was having were warning signs before that first major drop attack.
    Have never smoked or drank.

    Personally I don't mind seeing the info on people. I have spent a longgg time doing Genealogy research and am always curious. And personally... I don't care what flavor/color people are... its their kindness and what is in their hearts that count.

    No wrinkles, but so many laughter-lines something must have been bloody funny!
