    Joe-

Please know you are in my daily thoughts and prayers. I know it's hard to see that there are still rainbows out there through the clouds of sickness that are covering the sunshine in your life right now and also through the tears of pain and fear--- but there is a rainbow of strength awaiting you.

    Best Wishes Dear Guy,

    Wobbles Storm (April 15, 1992 - November 17, 2006)

Thanks everybody for your kind wishes.

I am improving although I still have a series of blood clots in my left leg. These seem to be getting worse and appear to be moving deeper into my leg; they are covering a wider area. There is a possibility that I am developing something called deep vein thrombosis (DVT). I hope not because DVT can lead to blood clots breaking away and clogging my lungs. That’s an unhappy prospect.

Also, my dog Storm is not well. He has developed an eye infection and has three ulcers in same eye. These ulcers could allow bacteria to enter his inner eye. There is a possibility that S will need to have his eye removed but he may not be fit enough to survive the surgical procedure due to his age and heart condition. I am deeply worried about him. In fact I am more worried about him than myself. He is all kindness.

    Bless you all.

    Joe

(((((((healing hugs for Joe))))))) When I worked for a veterinarian, there is an ointment that can be applied directly onto the eye that will help with the ulcers and fights bacteria infections. Although it is packed away in boxes still, tomorrow morning I will take a look to see if I can find the one I had for my cat's ulcerated cornea (same ointment). There was an elderly dog that frequented the kennel and I was once the caretaker of these gentle folks and hence I had to apply all medications. This dog had alot of ulcers on his eye and the ointment helped reduce swelling and pain. In fact, the surgery for removal of the eye went very fast, the doc kept it under 3 minutes after sedated and the doc had the dog up and walking around within 20 minutes after the surgery, of course with alot of pain meds. Don't sell your storm down the river just yet, with a skilled veterinarian your babies chances of pulling thru this procedure might be good, get a second opinion.

Another suggestion, alot of vets all over have a mobile vet hospital. I have had very good experiences and might recommend one. They come to your home, they are equipped to do surgery too. If you let me know the general area I can see what I can find for you for mobile vets............... just let me know.

    Love and hugs
