    leftover chicken soup...an organic, free-range chicken. Good to the last drop.

    and home-made brownies (from scratch). and tangerines. and tea.

    Pondering making rum ball tonight or this weekend. That should be fun. I just don't eat them, that stinks.

    True story:

    Until I went off to law school, I had never seen black beans and yellow rice served as a side dish (other than something called congri oriental, but that was different). Then I recall meeting a few people from Tampa, and when they heard I was Cuban they would always says, "Oh, I love Cuban food. Black beans and yellow rice is the best!" I didn't have the heart to break it to them that the dish was a Tampa bastardization of black beans and white rice :D

    Surprise Suprise True Latin food is really hard to get in michigan. Its mostly the same garbage at every place.

    Frijoles negros y amarillo, y gazpacho. Con salsa picante y pan cubano. Y un cafe cubano sin leche.
    = Black beans and yellow, and gazpacho. With hot sauce and Cuban bread. And a Cuban coffee without milk.

    Nor me, until I moved to South Florida and picked it up from the Cuban's living there.

    Burd just likes the way I make it in the Walternate Universe.

    It was a damn good burrito. Not quite La Barca's in downtown L.A., but damn good for New Jersey.
