Just found a book I bought at some yard sale and never opened. Yes, I found more books in boxes in my closet, too! LOL The Celtic Book of Days, by Caitlin Matthews, A Guide to Celtic Spirituality & Wisdom I've only read the first page. This is the kind of book you don't read fast. You read alittle and take a long time to absorb what the Author wants you to know. Contents The Gates of the Year Samhain, in Winters Grip, November, December, January Imbolc, Springs Approach, February, March, April Beltane, Summer's Song, May, June, July Lughnasadh, Autum's Bounty, August, September, October Next is the Introduction to the Gates of the year, I may need a highlighter!
Gina - when my mom died I used reading as an escape - anything to take my thoughts and mind away from what was happening in my life. I continued to escape in books for many years. I enjoyed reading mostly non-fictions, philosophy, and positive self help books (when I was older). I also enjoyed auto-biographies of survivors. When I started college - I read to graduate but still loved to read. However, did not have much time for recreational reading as I had children to take care of and work and school. Then MM struck and my love for reading has declined - not by choice but my eyes don't cooperate.
Last year a wonderful friend from .org sent me a copy of The Velveteen Rabbit and I read this often as I have memorized most of it.
