My sister-in-law sent me this link about the procedure being performed at University of Washington. Here's the link.

I hope that everything works out for you Gene, I wish I had known about this before I had both of my surgeries, might not be in the situation I'm in now.

    Hello everyone,
I'm on the other side of the surgery now. My doctors are elateded with the results so far. They've already proven that they can stimulate all 3 vestibular canals, which is the first step in proving this technology. Even though the surgery was just yesterday, I am now home and beginning the recovery process. My wife is typing this as right now I have a bit of the spins, something I'm sure you can all relate to. I think the video posted on www.king5.com and the stories already posted in this thread do an excellent job of describing the technology and procedure. As I continue down this road I will continue to send updates, and to respond to personal messages sent to me, to the best of my ability. Thank you again for all your kind thoughts and prayers. They are very much appreciated and Rev that is very cool with me! Gene

From Gene's wife...Gene's recovery so far is identical to his shut surgery. The next few days are the most important in regard to potential negative side effect like infection.
