Tell me something about yourself!

Being relatively new to this forum, I don't know much about my new friends but would like to get to know you all a little better. So tell me something about yourself! It can be anything you feel like sharing. A favorite pasttime, a hobby or a special talent you might have. Even something silly, because as a lot of you already know, I love to laugh!

You all feel like family to me already and I thank you for bringing me along for the ride.

I'll start out with a few just to get things rolling.

I'm 48 years young
I was a hairstylist for 25 years
I'm currently enrolled at the University of Cincinnati taking an online computer course
I have 2 brothers (1 older and 1 younger) no sisters...Alas!
I used to play the guitar and sing at my church on Sunday and.....
I can touch my nose with my tongue!

I have been married for almost 34 years, a teenage bride!!
I have a daughter and two sons and a daughter-in-law
I have an adorable granddaughter, the love of my life! ;D
I have a sister and two brothers
I love to camp, read, watch movies, listen to music and play with my granddaughter
I used to have my own craft business, now i just do it for fun.
And i also love to laugh ;D

 

August 28th is my birthday.
I have five cats, two rats, & two parakeets.
My favorite thing is my swimming pool.
I have self-esteem issues.
I love to hike.
I love to camp if the temperature's not over 80.
I have a 22-yr-old son who's perfect.
I have a 14-yr-old daughter who's also perfect.
I'm fascinated by serial killers & psychopaths.
I've been wearing glasses since I was 6.
I'm married to Aaron, the disabled Biologist/Quality Assurance Manager/Guitar Player.
I'm in a long-distance relationship with Baxter.
AND I don't iron, hate to dust & REALLY hate to cook.

 

I am over 42 and under 46 years young
i have cattle
three dogs
two cats
one sheep
several horses
nasty chickens

two beautiful girls who are young women
one son who is a soldier and is recovering from gun shot wounds he received in Afghanistan
i eloped last year to a wonderful man and have a step son

i like to watch fireflies in the dark of night
i have many friends from this forum right here

i have meniere's disease , superior canal dehiscence, migraines with vertigo amongst some other small ailments
but none of those afflictions HAVE ME

i like old black and white movies

i love the ocean and lake michigan

i miss the people of africa

I believe in God and His son Jesus; but I will not debate or negate religion or other religous views.

I believe we are all connected in this world.

 

I am 34 years old
I am married and have a 16 yr old son
I have a fascination with zombies
I want to have a tattoo for every place I've had stitches, but I don't have enough room on my body for that. (over 25 scars ranging from 1/2 inch to over 2 feet long)
My mom says I look like I came in last in a knife fight.

 

I am 48 years old
I have a beautiful 18 year old daughter that is my pride and joy
I have one leg longer than the other ( by 1 inch )
I am 2 inches shorter than I was 3 years ago ( spine operation )
I love to cook
I have a wicked sence of humour
I am a lover not a fighter
I am the black sheep of my family
I have a 26 year old daughter I have never seen
I will not be defeated by this MM

 

Ok, here goes:

My birthday is in August and I'm truly a Leo in all sense of the sign
I'm married for 5 years to a man 18 years my junior and he's my best friend
I have 7 dogs, 2 goats, 2 hamsters, a ferrett and 5 parrots
I am a strong, assertive woman
I've been in law enforcement since 1992 and I'm set to retire in 2012
I hate cooking, housework, and being domestic, but I do it anyway
I believe in the death penalty
I believe we shape our own destiny
I have no natural children, but I have a step-son
I am an only child
I was widowed 12 years ago and it was the worst time in my life
I've learned never to take anyone I love for granted
I believe in miracles and that God listens to me
I am very blessed

I have been married 35 years
I have a 28 year old son who is an athletic trainer
I have a 3-1/2 year old pitbull, a rescue dog
I worked 25 years as a paralegal and 5 years as a sales clerk in a candy store
I collect antique cooky cutters
My favorite food is pizza (yes, I do splurge and have a slice once in awhile)
My favorite group is Led Zeppelin

 

I am 52 divorced
I have 2 girls 1 is a stay at home mom in TX, 1 I have disowned who is a pharmacist.
I love my job, my boss and my close friends
If you treat me fair I will give you the shirt off my back
I love spaghetti
I love yard sales, antique stores are my favorite
I have a dog who hurdles into my truck and over his dog cage and giving him to Joy so she can add him to her zoo
I love Dave Matthews music
I try to be fair
I believe in God and pray often
I am thankful for Joy and Sheryl for making me laugh when I need it most. and Karl for being like a big brother who tells it like it is.
I am thankful for this MM
I live in Burns TN about 25 miles west of Nashville even though Joy always thinks I live in the Carolinas i think my names messes her up.
I am a barge maintenance coordinator spvr.
I like to talk about poop and so does Joy.

 

I was a huge fan of the Buffy the vampire slayer and Angel TV series.

 

I am 58 soon to be 59
I am married 31 years to a man who my best friend, partner, with great humor, compassionate, giving, loving, true to his word, supportive.
2 grown kids - son 28 who lives with us and is "IT" tech. worker & daughter who is 29 to be 30 in august, married a year July 25th, working.
I have meneieres disease and 14 yr. ovarian cancer stage 3 survivor...advocate for both.
have a cat, Katrina who is 14 years old

I LOVE the OCEAN...collecting seashells and sea glass.

Do some scrapbooking and like to create my own cards with stickers from my favorite craft store.

Thank you all for your posts and keep them coming! I feel like I know some of you better already and that we have a lot of common interests. We should be more than just anonymous posters on the same forum. That is why I wanted to start this thread. To feel a little more connected to everyone willing to share a bit of themselves with not just me, but everyone else here who we interact with almost daily.

I think you all are amazing people for being able to find the courage and strength it takes to cope with this disease. I hope we can keep learning from one another and sharing some laughs along the way.

Okay well, here's a little more about me:

My real name is Kim - Lulu is a nickname my Mom gave me when I was little because I used to love watching Little Lulu cartoons.
My other nickname is Peanut because I'm, let's just say, vertically challenged!
I've been married 10 years to my husband Tony, who I went to Kindergarten with.
I have a 10 year old, 18 (yes I said 18!) pound cat named Emma who is as lazy as the day is long.
I can cook a mean meal of spaghetti with homemade meatballs and homemade marinara sauce. So Carolyn, anytime you get a hankering for spaghetti, come on over!
