I am in northwestern PA and was referred to Dr. Barry Hirsch at UPMC Eye & Ear Institute in Pittsburgh. I was referred to him after all efforts by my ENT failed and he scheduled me for gent injections. I had a two month wait to get in to see Dr. Hirsch and the vertigo was occurring every day, 2-3 hrs each time, up to 4 attacks per day. The week before my appointment with Dr. Hirsch the vertigo changed to sort of slow motion and then a flip over backwards feel. Dr. Hirsch feels I am burning out and preferred not to do the gent. They did an extremely thorough hearing exam there. On the basis of this one visit I would say that I would recommend him.
