~~Prayer of St.Francis of Assisi~~~

I love this prayer.....and wanted to share it with you.....and hope that it may touch your life in some small way.....as it has mine.


~~Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi~~~

Lord,

Make me an instrument
of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light
Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,

Grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
Fir it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that
that we are pardoned.
It is in dying that we
are born to eternal life.

St.Francis is my favorite Saint.I have a Statue of him in my backyard.We bougth it last year and ever since my female Weim,who was rescued from horrible conditions like to lay rigth next to the statue.I believe she knows that he is the Patron Saint of all creatures.Thanks for posting this prayer Sami!

Thank you for posting this prayer Sami, it's one of my favourites too, I also have a garden statue of St. Francis only it's not in the garden, he stands on my dresser in the bedroom, I like him there much better.

that is one of the few prayers i do remember from my days at catholic school,probably because we had to know it as our school was called st.francis of assisi
