this one is a fill in the blank

Demographers and anthrolologists have corrected the notion that European explorers
in North America entered a -------- territory by showing that the land in some areas
were already as densely -------- as parts of Europe.

    A. fertile......settled
    B. collassle......wooded
    C. desolate.....populated
    D. valuable.....exploited

I'll pick C. But not sure of that.

  5. C it is. The only one with a contrast and makes sense in the context.
