    CGR, It was pure powdered ascorbic acid mixed with water.
    I will give it a whirl (no pun intended) after Christmas but whew, was I stumbling all over the place.
    NOT to discourage others from trying, like I said, it could have easily been any number of other things.

    long term usage of pure ascorbic acid mixed in water can have serious effects on your teeth. I suggest to move to tablets or pills after the right dosage is attained. Its better on your teeth and more easy to carry around. If one insists on remaining with the acid water mix its recommended to drink the acidic solution through a straw to minimize contact with teeth. After drinking rinse your mouth thoroughly with water. You can also consider to add baking soda to the ascorbic acid drink to neutralize the acid.
