    Ifishdizzy,

Thanks for the correction. I got my information from someone who is a card carring 'pot head'...oh, o.k. I get it... :D

Seriously though, I agree with much of what you said.

Doctors, pharmaceutical companies and about the 5 top % of the wealthy of this country, run this country. (sorry Obama, but you know it's true).

In fact, the only thing I do disagree with is about the guy down the street - depends on who he is ;D

Again, thanks for the correction - I'm gonna talk to the pain management doctor I have an appointment with at the end of this month!

I keep reading the title of the thread as "Do Canadians Treat Meniere's Disease?" and wondering why someone is asking that. And I haven't been smoking anything.

We DO treat Meniere's Disease! We're almost as good at it as the cannibals that treat it.

Don't forget to acknowledge the cannibals before they come and eat us!

I used to toke a lot in my early 20's, but I'm now on the cusp of 40 and hardly ever touch it...maybe once or twice a year if I'm lucky. I decided to get a small amount and try it out when I started feeling the ear fullness and disorientation coming on stronger. I'm lucky in that, so far, all of my vertigo attacks tend to announce their arrival about an hour beforehand by making me very dizzy, and the tinnitus, nausea and pressure gradually increase, and I get the sweats.

So, I tried it and it didn't completely remove my disorientation, but it did cut it down at least a good 80%. Definitely lessened my nausea. Made me feel like eating something rather than the other way round. Of course, with the cottonmouth I have to drink even more water, but that's a good thing. Much better than laying there and wishing the world would stop spinning. Plus, I only did a single toke of fairly decent stuff and it was enough to help with the symptoms and give me a bit of a euphoric feeling, but didn't waste me to the point where I'm staring at the computer forgetting what I was going to type next.

That's my experience as well. I'm currently undergoing the process of getting a medical license here in Canada - I have the support of my neurotologist who says he's known a few other MM'ers who have found relief so he wasn't surprised by the request at all. I also have the support of 2 more specialists so hopefully the process will proceed smoothly. My partner already has a medical license for pain management.

Does it, or did it help the tinnitus?

    Hi Holly,

I never noticed in relief from the tinnitus when using MMJ. In my case, since the ear is dead and the nerve was cut in the Laby, the tinnitus must be neurological and AFAIK there is nothing I can do to make it go away.

Not really, but the tinnitus sounded more interesting and had a much deeper meaning when stoned. ;D
