Jacki's Place

Hi My name is Jacki and I have Meniere's
Disease. What is Menieres Disease you ask? It is a disorder of
the inner ear or labrynth. The most prominent symptoms of this
condition include episodes of dizziness or vertigo, fluctuating
hearing loss, and tinnitus (noise or ringing in the ear) and
pressure in the ear. The cause of menieres also known as morbus
menieres is not known., but it is thought to be triggered by an
immune, metabolic, infectious, traumatic, allergic, or other
injury to the labrynth. The condition generally starts in one ear,
but it may eventually become bilateral in up to half of all
patients.

This is me with my cat J.R. on my lap. This picture was made for me by my friend Robyn who also has Menieres Disease and she lives in South Carolina.

I belong to a great group called the Coping List which is found at the following site:
Here you will find
information on Menieres Disease and many stories just like mine
from fellow sufferers of this dreadful disease. You will soon
learn that you are not alone. This group has saved my life in
more ways than one. The people here are just the greatest and I'm
so very fortunate to be a part of a wonderful and caring group of
extraordinary people. We even have a home page created by one of
our own members Sharon M. She has done an excellent job of
putting the site together and maintaining it. You can find our
site from the link below:

This was made by my special dizzy sis Cathy
who also has menieres, we are best friends. She is so talented
when it comes to making things for web pages as you can tell.
